Sushi Making in Japanese Club

This Friday, the kids in Japanese club had a blast learning how to make sushi. They stuffed the seaweed with delicious cucumbers, avocados, imitation crab meat, and of course sushi rice. Not only was it a fun process to make, but it was also delicious to consume! All of the students were involved hands on in putting this snack together, and learned about the intricacies of Japanese food. Our teacher, the wonderful Ms. Elizabeth was able to share her culture and love for Japanese food. Not only was it a good lesson on Japanese culture, but the students also learned a few skills for cooking; cutting up the cucumbers, wrapping the sushi, and stuffing the other ingredients. All in all, it was a popular Friday, and a good way to "wrap" up a busy week here at the Academy!
