BA's Middle Schoolers Send a Huge Thank-You to Cal Fire

Over the past two weeks, Berkeley Academy's 6th-8th graders have been working on a mega-sized "Thank You" card for Cal Fire to express our gratitude to the fire fighters of California who have been tirelessly fighting the Northern California wildfires for the past several weeks. At its peak, the Central LNU complex fires in Sonoma County and Mendocino County had burned through thousands of structures and hundreds of thousands of acres of forestland and brush. The deadliest of these fires, the Tubbs Fire, was 100% contained as of Tuesday, October 31, thanks to the efforts of thousands of valiant firefighters who battled the flames around the clock. This week, the hand-made Thank-You card was completed and filled with personalized thank-you notes from each student. BA's middle schoolers then mailed the enormous card off to Cal Fire's headquarters in Sacramento. Way to go, middle schoolers!
